John Ashley Sheldon II is the Founder of GreatSun Consulting, a solar revenue, operations, and systems advisory firm focused on helping solar companies scale more efficiently across the entire customer and operational lifecycle.

With more than 18 years of experience spanning solar, sales leadership, CRM systems, operations, partnerships, and business development, John has helped support and contribute to the growth of organizations responsible for generating over $100M in solar revenue channels. His work has included collaborations with and contributions to companies such as Renu Energy Solutions, RevoluSun Hawaii, RevoluSun Mountain States, Solar Energy Partners, Cape Fear Energy Systems, SUNation Energy Systems, Sunvoy, and Top Tier Solar Solutions.

John specializes in connecting and aligning the fragmented pieces of the solar value chain — sales, design, proposal generation, CRM infrastructure, operations, customer experience, post-install workflows, data visibility, financing alignment, strategic partnerships, and field execution — into scalable systems that drive measurable growth.

Known for blending strategic leadership with hands-on implementation, John works directly inside client environments to diagnose operational bottlenecks, improve workflow efficiency, accelerate proposal and sales velocity, strengthen data integrity, and create systems teams actually adopt and use. His experience spans platforms and operational ecosystems including Zoho One, Salesforce, Aurora Solar, OpenSolar, analytics environments, proposal tools, automation frameworks, and post-install customer experience strategies.

Throughout his career, John has led cross-functional teams, improved close rates from under 10% to over 30%, reduced operational sales cycle delays by more than 50 days, and helped organizations scale revenue operations while improving visibility, accountability, and customer experience.

Prior to founding GreatSun Consulting, John held leadership roles across solar sales, operations, business development, and revenue systems strategy, where he became recognized for his ability to quickly bring structure to operational complexity and bridge the gap between leadership vision and real-world execution.

John has been featured in Marquis Who’s Who in America Top Executives, recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Top Pinnacle Professional in Solar Energy, and highlighted across industry publications and media for
his contributions to solar growth, clean energy adoption, operational strategy, and renewable energy business development.
